In the beginning of 2006, Parliamentarians of the European Parliament and of EU Member States created the Energy-Efficiency-Watch-Initiative (EEWI) and called for an Energy-Efficiency-Watch (EEW).

ES-SO new website launch - 10/03/2008
On March 10, 2008 the new ES-SO website went live under two domain names www.es-so.com and www.es-so.eu. The new website provides a wealth of information about European directives on building energy efficiency, as well as lots of background papers on that subject.

ES-SO informs you about the EU's energy efficiency plan - 24/01/2008
The EU's energy efficiency plans, as ambitious as they are necessary, were in the news today. As early as late 2006, the Commission had made it public that it sought a 20/20/20 plan by 2020, meaning that by the year 2020 an energy saving target of twenty percent should be adopted, with an objective of one fifth reduction of climate warming greenhouse gases and a share of reneweblas in the energy supply of 20 percent.
